Instructor: Dylan Choonhachat

Dylan is an illustrator/sketch artist/concept artist from Los Angeles, California. While his main discipline is life drawing, Dylan’s experience ranges from storyboard and concept design to illustration and fine art. Dylan has designed and illustrated for clients such as Netflix, Sony, Disney, Warner Brothers, HBO, Riot Games, Valve, Rockstar, and more.

About the Class

This course will focus on the main principles of figure drawing. We will be covering different aspects of capturing the human figure: gesture, proportion, structure, rendering, and design. You will learn how to analyze the figure as well as basic anatomy. The goal for this class is to give you the tools to troubleshoot your own drawings and improve your ability to draw the figure.

Week 3 - Structure
Week 4 - Rendering
Week 5 - Hands & Feet
Week 6 - Portrait
Week 7 - Design
Week 8 - Final Review

Course level:

Class is intended for intermediate students. Foundation drawing knowledge is recommended, but not required.

Homework:

**You will need references to draw from for homework. Higher quality reference images may need to be purchased for additional $6~$25. There will be homework assigned every week. I will email you the recommended resources and discount codes.**

Materials:
You can work in any media you are most comfortable with. I will include my recommended supply list in the email. **If you are doing traditional, make sure you have a good scanner or are able to take good quality images of your drawings.**
